Separators SOR.II
Use
Oil products separators type SOR.II are intended for cleaning waste water containing oil products with the density from 750 to 950 kg.m-3, solution temperature above +4 °C, impurity concentration up to 5000 mg/l in the continuous operation in line with ČSN EN 858 and ČSN 75 6551. Usually such water is waste (rain) water from parking or oiled areas and areas where handling of oil products occurs. Oil products separators type SOR.II are not to be used for cleaning waste water containing oil products in the form of mechanical or chemical stable emulsions. The separators are not intended for removing soluble or saponifiable oils and greases (e.g. of vegetable and animal origin). The separators must not be used for domestic waste water.
Description of the device
Coallescence separators type SOR.II consist of a reservoir and the following built-in units: oil collector, coalescence building-in, operating floor, coalescence filter, scum board, coalescence separator overflow, sorption building-in, sorption filter overflow and the off-take point. It is not necessary that each type contains all of the above parts.
Waste water inflows the sedimentation reservoir where the water flow quiets and suspended solids are settled, eventually the petrol or kerosene are separated.
The other part of the reservoir contains the two-stage coalescence separator. The first stage contains the lamellas, the second stage includes the coalescence filter with filtering foam. The coalescence separator ensures separation of floatable oil products (NES). At the same time, suspended solids with the diameter above 0.2 mm and density above 1100 kg/m3 are separated. The function of this unit is ensured if the non-polar extractable substances (NES) are not emulsified and the suspended solids (SS) are not dispersed. The separated oil products are retained by the scum board and then manually drawn off to the oil collector.
The sorption filter makes use of dynamic adsorption. The service life of the sorbent is influenced markedly by the input soiling by suspended solids and the concentration of oil products on the input. The NES are adsorbed on the Fibroil surface only if they are not in the form of stable emulsions.

Separators SOR.II-ZP
Separators for increased flow rate are suitable for gravity separation of oil products mainly from rain water from parking areas of all kinds and for areas where handling of oil products does not occur and the input concentration of oil products does not exceed 35 mg/l. Oil products separators type SOR.II-..-..-ZP are intended for cleaning waste water containing oil products with the density from 750 to 950 kg.m-3, solution temperature above +4 °C, impurity concentration usually 100 mg/l. Oil products separators type SOR.II-..-..-ZP are not to be used for cleaning waste water containing oil products in the form of mechanical or chemical stable emulsions, petrol and kerosene. The efficiency of separation decreases markedly with increasing content of suspended solids. The separators are not intended for removing soluble or saponifiable oils and greases (e.g. of vegetable and animal origin). The separators must not be used for domestic waste water. They are supplied as coallescence separators with the guaranteed input soiling up to 5 mg/l NES or as sorption separators with the guaranteed input soiling up to 0.2 mg/l NES.
