Industrial waste water treatment plants
Industrial water treatment is dealt with by our company in case of biologically treatable waste water. In particular, this applies to waste water from foodstuffs industry like dairy waste water, water from slaughterhouses, meat processing industry plants, from sugar mills, breweries, foodstuffs-producing plants, etc.
The design
We deal with the design of the industrial waste water treatment technologies in fully individual manner as we take into account specific properties of the separate industrial waste waters. If the industrial waste waters are part of the municipal waste waters from municipalities and towns, it is necessary to accommodate the municipal waste water treatment technology to the ratio and effects.
The technologies
The technologies may be very diverse, not only according to the kind of industry but also according to the particular line of production in the establishment.
Sometimes it is possible to use the basic technology, D-N system, as for the municipal waste waters. For some types of production (e.g. dairy works), it is suitable to use separated regeneration of activated sludge. Frequently it is necessary to use technology with a selector eliminate filamentous bulking of the sludge. According to the type of water, the selector may be aerobic (aerated) or anaerobic (mixing only). According to the nitrogen content the selected technology either removes the nutrients (nitrification – denitrification system, or simultaneous nitrification – denitrification system), or doses the nutrients in case of their absence. According to the phosphorus content, the excess phosphorus is either removed biologically or, more frequently, by chemical precipitation by Fe salts, or dosed into the waste water, in case of its absence.
In case of industrial waste waters it is often necessary to deal with the waste water inlet irregularity by equalizing.
The issue of high or low pH is dealt with by neutralizing before the biological line. With respect to the excess sludge production (may be different from municipal waters) it is suitable to deal with the sludge disposal, as to the stabilization of excess sludge or its dewatering and/or hygienization with respect to its disposal or further use.
With respect to the diversity of industrial waste waters it is not possible to describe a universal treatment method for these waters. On the contrary, the method is individual for each case.
As it is essential to have sufficient input data for the proper technology design, it is suitable to ask for assistance of technologists in submitting and acquisition of data. If input data change, it is possible to update the technology design.
Discharge limits
Discharge limits are attained according to the type of waste water and selected technology, which is based on the requirements submitted. We endeavour to guarantee the requested discharge limits. If the submitted limits for the given type are unattainable or if they require extremely intensive and expensive technologies, consultation with the customer is performed. With respect to the knowledge of legislation, we strive for solutions viable for the customer as well as the authorities (watercourse administrator, water right authorities, etc.).
