Deodorizing filters DF
Use
Deodorizing filters are intended for removal or elimination of odours and aerosols created by the operation of waste water treatment plants. They are used in treatment plants with increased intensity of odour, in confined and ventilated structures. The biofilters allow marked reduction of the hygienic protection zone.
Supplies
The biofilter is usually installed into the treatment plant premises to the foundation plate and then backfilled with sand, filters up to size DF 5 may be installed directly into the WWTP premises. Deodorizing biofilters may also be embedded into concrete.
Unit description
The whole unit for air deodorization consists of a suction line, fan, air supply pipe, injecting device with a nozzle, and the biofilter itself. Air evacuated by the fan from the deodorized area flows through the filter’s active filling where microorganisms oxidizing the odour matters develop at constant humidity. Deodorized air directly enters the atmosphere. The unit may be complemented by a masking aromatic substance dosing unit, which injects the substance into the filter supply pipe, or by an air heater and dampening chamber.
