FORTEX-AGS, a.s.
With its number of employees FORTEX - AGS, a.s. ranks among 30 most important building contractors in the Czech Republic. In the Olomouc Region FORTEX belongs to important enterprises, and within the County of Šumperk, its seat, it is the largest building contractor. The company specializes in building operations, metal production for logistics, construction and development of waste-water treatment plants, and in sale and servicing of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. FORTEX belongs to the top Czech suppliers in the area of waste-water treatment technologies. Many of its products are exported to Austria, Slovenia, Germany, and in the last few years also to East-European countries.
The company was established in 1968. In 1990 it underwent a transformation into a joint-stock company with subsequent conversion into divisional organization. Since 2006 FORTEX is a concern of the ÚSOVSKO a.s. holding. In 1999 a Czech-Belarusian company with majority interest of FORTEX was established, which operates under the name of FORTEX - WATER TECHNOLOGIES, Ltd. since 2004 and which is based in the free economic zone of the city of Vitebsk. This company operates in the field of technologies for waste-water treatment and purification and plastics manufacture.
In 2005 the company acquired the company VH PROSPEKT s.r.o. Olomouc. Its activities orientate on building construction in areas outside the program of its parent company. FORTEX attempts to keep its business activities and strategies focused primarily on the quality of its products and services, positive approach to the environment, and on safety and protection of health of its employees. Such endeavor was complemented by obtaining the certificates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Besides quality, the company consistently orientates in technological progress, expedience, complexity of services as well as fair prices of the technologies and products. It is a dynamic, continuously developing, economically stable company, which maintains its authority over business partners and self-government authorities.
